At our church, Mother's Day is also the day they dedicate all the babies born in the previous year. So, on this special day, we dedicated Abby to the Lord and, as her parents, we promised to raise her in such a way that she may come to know and trust Jesus for herself someday. The rest of the members of our church also made a promise to assist us in raising Abby in this manner, which I hope means that there will always be someone watching her and reporting back to us when she does something naughty. ;-)
