We recently acquired a canoe, and we have been anxious to try it out with Abby. So, we got her a tiny little life jacket and planned a day to go down to a local lake and paddle for a while. You know what they say about best laid plans...
This is Brian rowing us back to shore after Abby decided canoeing was NOT for her. She cried pretty much the entire half an hour we were on the water. She was not fond of that cute little life jacket, even once we altered it to be more comfy (we were back right next to shore then...don't worry!).
So, once we got back home safely, we decided to try to redeem our day by taking Abby to the pool for the first time. We had so much fun! She LOVES the pool, as you can see.
We're going to be spending quite a bit of time at the pool this summer, I hope. We'll probably try canoeing again, too...wish us luck!

Poor kid... poor mom & dad... at least things ended happily at the pool. And yes, best of luck for trying canoing again.
