We have been transitioning Abby to a big girl bed for a few weeks now. She is doing great! So great, in fact, that we took down the crib this week. The new baby is going to sleep in our room in a bassinet for a while, so we will wait to put the crib back up until we move to the new house. Here are Abby and Daddy taking the crib apart. Abby loves Handy Manny and has two tool sets, so she was all ready to assist!
The big bed has been nice for us as well. We couldn't cuddle with Abby in the crib, obviously, so we are both taking advantage of evening quiet time to snuggle and read books. I also climb into bed with Abby in the mornings, lately!
It's been getting chilly here, and Abby hates to sleep with a blanket. So, we have broken out the comfy fleece footy pajamas already. Abby doesn't seem to remember wearing them before. The first night we put them on her, she kept asking where her toes went. This is how I found her in the morning!

We finally managed to sneak into her room last night without waking her to peek at how cute she is in the big bed. I love the way she sleeps! So funny.
Abby is becoming a big girl in so many ways lately! This is going to be an exciting year for her!
